Miko Xu was born in central China. After leaving school she studied for and acquired a Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Finance. A period working in banking was beneficial as it gave Miko an understanding of financial management and loans – skills useful in her current role. She came to New Zealand in 2013 to study English at Massey University and met her husband at that time – discovering that he had lived only 10 minutes from her house back in China!
After completing the language course in Palmerston North, Miko and her husband moved to Auckland and she worked in the hospitality industry for 3 years. After gaining residency in 2016 Miko looked for a profession that would utilise her business skills and in 2017 she passed her real estate license. Following 6 months working for another real estate brand, she joined Team John Q at Ray White Remuera. Her fluency in Mandarin and English coupled with her strong work ethic and drive to succeed, are an asset to the team. With her considerable networks she looks forward to taking care of Chinese buyers and sellers with the transacting of their homes and investment properties.

In her spare time Miko loves swimming to keep fit. When she and her husband have time, they head out into New Zealand’s bush to go hiking and explore more of their adopted home country.
