LUCKY - 34 metre frontage

13 Peach Parade

Remuera, Auckland

Sold - 16.05.2023

Marketed by Steve Koerber & Nila Koerber

As luck has it, number thirteen Peach Parade is finally on the market.

Whether you're looking to build a dream home or to create several investment properties, you'd be even luckier to find a better opportunity in such a sought-after Remuera location.

Tightly held in the same family for over 70 years, this comfortable family home on 945sqm of mostly flat land is ready to be taken into the 21st century, or taken away.

Just across from the Ellerslie Racecourse and moments from Remuera Village, Ascot Hospital, Greenlane Train Station, and Motorway on-ramps; the convenience of a location like this is indisputable.

Future development opportunities are obvious due to an extraordinarily wide 34 metre street frontage. Plan change 78 earmarks the site to switch to Mixed Housing Urban. And you'll be pleased to know the property was unscathed during the recent Auckland floods.

How lucky can you be? Let's find out.

A Love Story by Jeanette

Land purchased and the house built by my grandfather Roland Conway - a horse racing jockey & champion featherweight boxer. Original first house insurance certificate dated 14/10/1921.

A fine jockey - his photo albums and racing silks/clothes were donated to Ellerslie Race Course. Rowley was awarded the Military Medal in WW1 - he was a member of the famous "Travis Patrol". They took their horses with them to war in those days.

He fought in the trenches. Was wounded and sent home on a hospital ship that was sunk by the enemy on the way back. He survived. My grandmother was his sweetheart throughout WW1. They married post WW1.

Rowley couldn't ride as a racing jockey post-war. His father-in-law lent him the money to open a billiard saloon in Ellerslie which he biked to daily.

My mother Dawn was born in the house March 1928.

Dawn married Trevor McKee (no relation to the horse trainer) and they moved in with Rowley in 1950. Had 3 children, cats, and guinea pigs who made patches with their hutch on Rowley's beloved lawn.
